PamLab designed an analog tool to support an optometrist requiring precise facial measurements for patient fittings. We worked closely with the client to understand her needs and requirements, then developed the conceptual design, part geometry, and functional features of the tool. The tool was designed as an adjustable, modular and portable system, allowing different components to slide into position to capture the required facial dimensions. We completed the detailed part design, modeled the complete assembly, and fabricated a functional prototype using an FDM 3D printer.
